She has earned a Master of Science degree in environmental science from the University of San Francisco. She is a published author of science fiction novels for young adults. She has been teaching in public and private schools since 1970, with experience in all grades and subjects in both public and private education, including college.
Mrs. Mary Alice Pearse earned her California teaching credential from San Francisco State University in 1979. She majored in the creative arts, with a minor in education. She has taught in San Mateo County schools for twenty-nine years and has gained nineteen years experience teaching in all subject areas at Wherry Academy.
Mr. John Wherry has taught thirty years in public and private school. His bachelor's degree is from San Francisco State University in biological and physical sciences. He has a life teaching credential from the State of California, general education. He is renowned as one of the finest science teachers in Northern California, having written high school courses, ChemPhysics I and ChemPhysics II, which received special recognition and acceptance by the University of California.
Mrs. Lois Wood holds a teaching credential from the State of New York. In addition, she passed the CBEST for teaching in California. She graduated from the State University of New York at New Paltz with a degree in art education and a minor in dance. She has many years experience both as a creative teacher and as a professional musician and entertainer. She holds two gold medals from the United States Figure Skating Association.
